Our People

What's the Job?

Associates work in a dynamic and challenging environment. They collaborate with senior managers and principals in small, high-performance teams focused on solving client problems. Associates contribute to their client teams in several ways:

  • Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., financial analysis, survey development and analysis, diagnostic interviewing and thematic analysis, etc.)
  • Providing project management for complex tasks and projects, including supervising support staff and managing analysts.
  • Helping build client relationships.

Typical tasks include planning and leading work sessions (internal and external), drafting documents (e.g., reports, memos, slide decks), and presenting issue analyses with recommendations to the client. Associates are encouraged to stretch their capabilities with the goal of rapidly taking on greater responsibilities on their teams, which we believe provides distinct opportunities for professional development and growth.

What Are We Looking For?

We seek candidates with outstanding intellectual abilities and analytic capacity, as well as strong communications skills and a practical sense of how to work with clients in complex organizational environments. Successful candidates are well-rounded individuals who have three to five years of work experience and graduate degrees in relevant fields—such as business, psychology, international relations, or the social sciences—in addition to extensive exposure to finance and economics. Associates must be highly motivated and detail oriented professionals, with the ability to multi-task over a number of different projects.

How we work together internally is as important to us as how we work with our clients, so we strive to find individuals who fit our culture and share our values. These are people who display a natural curiosity, have a demonstrated record of leadership within and outside the workplace, enjoy working in an entrepreneurial environment, and are fun to be around.
