The American Journal of Medicine—March of 2005. Jennifer Tomasik and Tom Gilmore of CFAR, along with Andrew Schafer, will have an article published entitled "Crafting an Effective Strategic Plan for a Department of Medicine"
American Association of Medical Colleges meeting of the Group on Institutional Advancement—March 30. Tom Gilmore will be giving the keynote talk. The topic is, "Managing 'Super-Sized' Expectations of Institutional Advancement". This meeting will be attended by members of medical school dean's top staff who work in areas of development and planning.
Bryn Mawr College—March 31. Tom Gilmore will be delivering the keynote address for the first session of a new program for nonprofit leaders.
PMI College of Scheduling Conference in the "Integrated Enterprise-Wide Project Management System Implementation" track—May 2005. Cassie Solomon-Gillis and Pradip Mehta (Port Authority of NY and NJ) will be co-presenting a portion of a study done for the National Academies.
Beulah Trey of CFAR, along with Susan P. Gantt and Claude Marchessault, has contributed a chapter entitled Meetings That Work: Making Common Sense "Common" to SCT in Action—Applying the Systems-Centered Approach in Organzations

Harvard School of Education—July 16. Tom Gilmore, joined by Larry Bacow, president of Tufts, will be doing a half-day session in a seminar for new presidents. The focus is on the challenge of new leaders reading the culture and context and joining effectively with the institution.
