Jessic Geiben Lynn with Jennifer Schlener of AAMC present "Working Effectively with Governing and Advisory Boards: Ten Takeaways" to the Group on Institutional Advancement of the Association of American Medical Colleges

From Boards of Directors, to Alumni Councils, to Foundation Boards, to Physician Advisory Committees, much of the work we do at our institutions requires an effective relationship with a volunteer or governing body. Learn and discuss effective practices for working with governing and volunteer boards.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Identify opportunities for strengthening working relationships with boards;
2. Implement effective governance and volunteer stewardship practices, including tri-modal governance;
3. Access and utilize proven strategies and resources, including a network with peers.
