Joe Dillard, Coaching Director, is a social-organizational psychologist and executive coach with over 20 years of experience across coaching, leadership development, and executive education. He has coached, advised, and taught leaders around the world, and has extensive experience designing and delivering executive coaching and leadership development programs.
Joe’s work is grounded in a systems perspective on organizational life and informed by evidence-based practice. He partners closely with leaders to surface the patterns that shape effectiveness and to build the capacity required to lead in increasingly complex and diverse organizational environments. His approach is characterized by curiosity, empathy, and thoughtful challenge, which clients experience as both supportive and rigorous.
Prior to joining CFAR, Joe served as Head of Programs and Product at The Leadership Consortium (TLC), where he led the firm’s executive coaching practice and oversaw the design and delivery of leadership development programs serving hundreds of leaders globally each year. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly a decade at Columbia University, teaching, coaching, and advising leaders in the Executive Master’s Program in Change Leadership.
Joe holds a Ph.D. in Social-Organizational Psychology and an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor. He is certified in the Hogan Personality Assessment and the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).
