Succession in Practice: Reflections on Intergenerational Partnerships and Sustainability in Family Enterprise Advisory Firms
As we know from our work with clients, the transition process is complex, time consuming and spans years. Transitions have the potential to strengthen partnerships and deepen collaboration to benefit both professionals and clients. Or, they can create complications. What can we learn from each other in light of the transitions in advisory firms that are underway?
This session explores the landscape of generational transition in three family enterprise advisory firms from the perspective of three founder/next generation pairs from three different firms that are deep into the process. Nancy Drozdow and Debbie Bing from CFAR join other panelist for a candid discussion. Drawing from firsthand experience, they will dig into their own firms’ succession from a founding generation to a sustainable firm. They will explore dilemmas and wins with continuity in a field that prides itself on being succession experts.
