Sara E. Miller

Sara E. Miller, Coaching Practice Manager, helps organizations develop their leaders and build effective coaching cultures. Serving both as practitioner and administrator of the Coaching Practice, she works extensively with leaders in healthcare, higher education, family enterprises, and nonprofits, with particular depth in the nonprofit sector and Jewish communal spaces. Since joining CFAR in 2019 from her role as Managing Director at Richard Levin & Associates, she provides executive coaching, consulting, and facilitation for teams navigating complex challenges.

In her work, Sara prioritizes developing trusting relationships with her clients such that shared goals and challenges alike can be approached with understanding and strategic savvy. She focuses on the interplay of people, process, and purpose—helping leaders see how these elements work together to create sustainable change. On the practice management side, Sara oversees coach matching for CFAR’s extensive network, ensuring optimal fit between coaches and clients based on context, culture, and development needs. She manages complex multi-stakeholder engagements and coordinates coaching teams for organizational initiatives. Her dual perspective—understanding both what clients need and what coaches can offer—enables her to create particularly effective coaching architectures that align with broader organizational strategies.

Sara’s approach is grounded in her commitment to social impact, reflected in her MBA from Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management, where she focused on nonprofit management. Her graduate fieldwork in organizational dynamics, human resources policy, and data analysis provides practical frameworks she applies across sectors. Trained in facilitation for community engagement, she brings additional tools for helping groups work through complex issues together.

Sara earned a BA from Brandeis University. She serves as Vice Chair of the Board at Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island and mentors with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island. She is a co-founder of Mentoring for Equity and previously served on the Heller Alumni Association Board.
