To speak any language like a native—I could meet anyone from anywhere and instantly get to know them.
What is one thing (either industry-related or not) you learned in the last month?
There was a terrific article in the New York Times about Dubai and the country’s approach to growth compared to other Arab nations. The article talked about choices made and choices ignored. Not only did the article broaden my thinking about current events, but also about how culturally we respond to change, opportunity and growth.
How do you define success?
I define success as knowing that each day, I did one tiny act to leave the world better than I found it. Pick up a piece of trash, hold a door, donate to a charity, support a friend, connect two people—these acts compound over time and leave a bigger impact than we will ever know. It makes me smile thinking about the ripple effect I might have.
What inspires you?
I look for inspiration from nature, art, and people.
