CFAR Vice President and Principal Jennifer Tomasik has been named to the board of the Rhode Island Pubic Health Institute (RIPHI).
RIPHI’s mission is to promote community health and to eliminate health disparities in Rhode Island and beyond. RIPHI has extensive experience in innovative public health programs, conducting translational and policy research, and training students and public health practitioners. RIPHI owns and operates Open Door Health, the state’s only LBGTQ+ clinic, which opened in 2020. RIPHI also led NOURISHRI, a statewide hunger alleviation advocacy effort that would be funded with a sugary drinks tax.
Jennifer was appointed with three other new board members: Dr. Amy Goldfarb, Peter Coriander, and Rebecca Webber. Click HERE to read more about RIPHI and Jennifer’s board appointment. Congratulations, Jenn!
